Jon & Bridget
Jon & Bridget are another couple that I hadn’t met until their engagement shoot. These two have been planning their Cherry Creek wedding remotely, both living in different states (neither of which are Michigan).
Clearly they’re natural together, and natural in front of the camera. Some shoots, everything just works. We got some amazing photos that Bridget told me “really captured (their) personalities”. I know we just met, but I couldn’t agree more.
Jon & Bridget are both opera singers. I’m pressuring them for a performance at their wedding, but from what I’m learning, opera isn’t something you just pull out of your bag when you’ve had a few drinks. They explained that each performance is like training for a marathon. A ton of work and preparation goes into it, and they can be very mentally, emotionally, and physically draining.
The couple wanted a little bit of nature, and a little bit of city life in their engagement photos. You can rarely go wrong with a trip to downtown Detroit. We started with an often overlooked field on Belle Isle, then made our way to the rooftop of premiere parking structure – The Z Lot. We ended our evening down below the 10 story structure in the art-filled alley named “The Belt”.
