David & Kaylee
David and Kaylee were married on a beautiful May day in Rochester Hills. I was excited for this day to arrive, as they had booked me quite some time ago! We had done a wonderful engagement shoot, and finally the big day came.
Kaylee was lovely in a strapless gown, and she wore a delicate strand of pearls with quite the history. Kaylee told me the pearls belonged to her great grandmother, and were brought home by her son from Vietnam when he was at war. Many members of the family have worn these pearls as they were married, including Kaylee’s mother. Needless to say, they are pretty special. David was dashing in a white jacket and black bow tie. The camera loved them.
We took some “first look” photos with Kaylee’s father, and it was a very emotional time for the lovely bride. It was the only time throughout that day that she shed some tears as the realization struck.
The ceremony took place at Oak Arbor Church, a beautiful church tucked away in a neighborhood of Rochester Hills bordering on a lovely woodland. It was quiet and quaint, despite the grandeur of the cathedral. After the ceremony, we stopped near the Royal Park Hotel and took some photos at the pavilion—the very pavilion that David had proposed to Kaylee.
Then we headed to Petruzzello’s for a fantastic dinner, but of course, not before cutting the cake. Their cake was very a very special gift from a friend of David’s, who loves to bake, and it tasted as good as it looked. Then, the newly married couple showed off their dance moves well into the night.
Then, off they went in their luxurious Audi A8, their “getaway car” loaned to the couple through Kaylee’s work, Audi of America! Nice touch, I’d say.
David and Kaylee are now doing some California dreaming, having just recently moved to there to start their lives together. Good luck you two! I hope our paths cross again.
Hiring Jesse Speelman Photography was one of the best decisions I made when it came to my wedding day. Every detail was perfect and seamless from the pricing to his organization and his ability to make sure the photography portion of my day was completely stress free. Jesse worked with me to make sure every photo I wanted was taken. I never once had to worry how a photo would turn out. He was posting photos of my wedding that same night! He posted a photo every hour the next day as a little sneak peek. Of course, as always, I was blown away by his work and I couldn’t believe... Read More
